Financial Specialist – Accounting Professional

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Financial Specialist to join our accounting team. You enjoy varied accounting work and want to take responsibility for your clients’ financial administration.

At Revise, you will do the work yourself – from bookkeeping and accounts payable and receivable to financial statements, reporting and resolving clients’ accounting questions. It is important to understand how financial transactions relate to the client’s business and how reliable, up-to-date financial information helps them manage their company and make decisions.

We work in Odoo ERP, where accounting is closely connected to the client’s other business processes.

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration and monthly bookkeeping of assigned clients. Your work will include:

• Bookkeeping and monthly closing: day-to-day bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and deferrals, VAT treatment, monthly closing to financial statement standards and up-to-date financial reporting.
• Accounts payable, accounts receivable and payments: managing supplier and customer accounts, payments and matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and goods receipts.
• Financial statements and taxation: preparing financial statements, balance sheet specifications and tax returns.
• Accounting investigations and client service: resolving complex accounting matters, advising clients and carrying out accounting checks and reconciliations during new Odoo implementations.
• Payroll: processing payroll and the related statutory reports, depending on the client accounts and your expertise.

You will get to know companies in different industries and how their businesses operate. Our clients’ needs range from day-to-day accounting to more demanding investigations. At its best, your work helps clients find solutions that support their businesses.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with strong practical skills and the willingness to take responsibility for clients’ financial administration.

We expect you to have:

• Several years of experience in corporate bookkeeping and independently handling monthly and year-end closing.
• A good command of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payments.
• An understanding of how purchase orders, goods receipts, purchase invoices, inventory and sales transactions connect to accounting.
• Experience in payroll processing and the related statutory reporting.
• Strong IT skills, the ability to learn new software and the flexibility to apply your expertise in different situations.
• A careful, proactive and client-focused approach, with the ability to complete tasks independently.
• Fluent Finnish and at least a good command of English are required.

We also value knowledge of group accounting and consolidation, experience in accounting across different industries and the ability to use financial reporting when advising clients. Other language skills are an advantage.

Previous Odoo experience is an advantage, but is not required. We will introduce you to Odoo and the way we work at Revise.

Our office is in Lauttasaari, Helsinki. You will work at the office, remotely by agreement and, when needed, at clients’ premises.
